San Diego, CA (May 7, 2025) – Authorities on Monday released the name of a 26-year-old man who died over the weekend in a traffic accident on eastbound State Route 78 in Vista.
Hunter Michael Bean of Escondido was standing outside his disabled pickup truck on the highway east of Vista Village Drive when another vehicle struck him at about 11:30 p.m. Saturday, according to the Medical Examiner’s Office. Bean died at the scene, the agency reported. Meanwhile, troopers with the California Highway Patrol are still investigating and have not released further details.
