San Diego, CA (October 20, 2024) – Four people, including two San Diego police officers, were transported to the hospital following a collision involving a suspected DUI driver in the Midway District on Saturday afternoon, October 19.
The incident occurred at around 12:15 p.m. at the intersection of Midway Drive and Barnett Avenue. According to the San Diego Police Department, a police vehicle was heading westbound on Barnett Avenue when a 27-year-old woman in a Honda sedan collided with the police unit while traveling southbound on Midway Drive.
The driver of the Honda suffered a femur fracture, and her passenger sustained an orbital fracture. Four individuals, including the two officers, were transported to the hospital, and the conditions of those involved remain unknown. However, no further details were reported, and the Traffic Division of the San Diego Police Department is still investigating the incident. We hope for the full recovery of all injured victims.
