San Diego, CA (September 13, 2024) – According to the California Highway Patrol, authorities say that both the westbound and eastbound lanes of State Route 76 were closed Wednesday night after a fatal crash.
The crash was reported around 7:30 p.m. in the area of Pala del Norte Road, just before Pala Casino. Per California Highway Patrol logs, at least one person suffered major injuries and was pronounced dead on the scene despite CPR attempts. No further details were immediately available about what led up to the crash or if there were any additional injuries. An investigation is still ongoing.
