San Diego, CA – Bicyclist Seriously Hurt in Hit-and-Run on F St

San Diego, CA (August 1, 2025) – Authorities are seeking the public’s help in finding a driver who fled the scene of a collision that left a bicyclist seriously injured in San Diego, according to additional information released by officers on Thursday, July 31.

The crash happened at around 7:25 p.m. on Monday in the 2400 block of F Street in the Golden Hill area, where a 62-year-old man was struck while riding his bicycle, according to the San Diego Police Department. The vehicle that struck the man fled westbound on F Street from 25th Street.

Video from the scene showed the vehicle was a gray-colored small or mid-sized SUV with black rims and likely damage to the front end, according to police. Evidence recovered at the scene indicated the vehicle may be a Honda. The driver was described as a 28- to 32-year-old man who was with a female passenger, police added.

Meanwhile, an investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information about the identity or whereabouts of the suspect or the suspect’s vehicle is asked to call the department’s traffic division. We hope the wounded individuals make a rapid recovery.
