Ludlow, CA (September 16, 2023) – A fatal traffic accident is now under investigation by the California Highway Patrol troopers after the incident was reported in Ludlow on Friday morning, September 14.
At around 9:00 a.m., reports came in about an accident on westbound Interstate 40. The CHP reports that a white four-door sedan veered off the road following a crash on the right side of the highway.
CHP reported to San Bernardino County Fire that a victim had been thrown from the vehicle. When firefighters arrived, they discovered the person at the scene. EMTs attempted life-saving measures, but the victim was pronounced dead.
Officials did not say if any other injuries occurred, though an inquiry into the cause and specific details related to the crash is ongoing.
