Los Angeles, CA (September 10, 2025) – A tragic two-car crash early Wednesday morning, September 9, resulted in one fatality and left another person injured, causing a major shutdown on the 5 Freeway.
The collision occurred around 3:20 a.m. on the northbound side of the freeway, near the transition to the 134 Freeway. The Los Angeles Fire Department responded to the scene and found one vehicle engulfed in flames. Unfortunately, the trapped victim was declared dead at the scene.
The second person involved in the crash was fortunately not injured.
