Los Angeles, CA (February 2, 2025) – One person was found dead inside a Lake Forest apartment complex that caught fire on Thursday, January 30, according to authorities.
The Orange County Fire Authority received multiple 911 calls for an apartment complex fire at 11:00 p.m. on Thursday in the 21000 block of Camelia in Lake Forest. Firefighters located the fire that was threatening surrounding units, according to an OCFA social media post.
The firefighters were able to prevent the fire from spreading to other parts of the apartment building. The fire crew battled the fire and searched for residents. A person was found dead inside, according to OCFA. The cause of death and the identity of the deceased were not immediately known. That said, the OCFA is investigating the cause of the fire, authorities said Saturday. Our deepest condolences go out to the family of the deceased victim.
