Los Angeles, CA (October 3, 2023) – On Monday night, the Los Angeles Fire Department responded to a fire at an RV in Sun Valley after a crash and discovered one deceased victim inside the vehicle.
At 9:05 p.m., firefighters were sent to 11800 Strathern St., close to Lankershim Boulevard, where they discovered a car fully ablaze. LAFD spokesman Nicholas Prange said the body was recovered inside the car after the fire was put out.
Prange said that one other female occupant of the RV escaped and was treated by paramedics for burns and smoke inhalation at the site.
The cause of the incident remains under investigation, and details about the other drivers involved were not provided.
