Los Angeles, CA (November 15, 2023) – Shortly after 10:00 p.m., in the Central Los Angeles community of Arlington Heights, a pedestrian was involved in a traffic incident in the 1500 block of South Arlington Avenue, which is just north of Venice Boulevard. Around 10:00 p.m., two people were crossing the street on Arlington Avenue, north of Venice Boulevard, as reported by the Los Angeles Police Department. As they reached the center of the roadway, a car moving northbound on Arlington hit them both.
One person fell after the collision near the junction of Arlington Avenue and Venice Boulevard. Another car, also heading north on Arlington Avenue, hit the pedestrian. According to the LAPD’s press release on the incident, the second driver came to a stop and stayed at the site until the police arrived. Paramedics from the Los Angeles Fire Department arrived on the site and started administering life-saving treatments to the victim right away. The Los Angeles Police Department said that one person was declared dead at the site after succumbing to her injuries. Witnesses were asked to contract West Traffic Detectives if they had any information on this incident.
