Los Angeles, CA (October 5, 2023) – On Thursday morning in El Cajon, a man was rescued from his burning home and sent to the hospital, according to fire rescue authorities.
At approximately 3:00 a.m., firefighters were sent to a home on Ellen Lane’s cul-de-sac in the city’s southwestern quadrant.
El Cajon Police officers were the first responders to the site, assisting the homeowner out of his home.
Around 5:45 a.m., fire units were still on site. Rescuers had to break down the door to save the man before taking him to the hospital, but he is reportedly recovering at the hospital.
The cause of the fire is unknown, but an investigation is still active and ongoing in the interim.
