Los Angeles, CA (September 30, 2025) – Police are searching for a driver involved in a deadly hit-and-run crash that claimed the life of a man riding an electric scooter in Los Angeles.
The Los Angeles Police Department said the accident happened around 9:35 p.m. on Sunday, September 28, on Woodman Avenue near Strathern Street. The scooter rider was traveling northbound in the No. 3 lane when a gray Honda sedan struck him.
The impact threw him onto the roadway. Moments later, a second vehicle also hit the rider, but that driver stopped and is cooperating with investigators.
Paramedics arrived and pronounced the scooter rider dead at the scene. Detectives continue to search for the hit-and-run driver.
