San Diego, CA (July 2, 2024) – According to the California Highway Patrol, authorities publicly identified a 59-year-old man who was killed on Friday, June 28, in a motorcycle crash on Interstate 8, near San Diego State University.
David Priest of San Diego was riding his motorcycle shortly before 7:00 p.m. on Friday when his eastbound two-wheeler was involved in a collision with a passenger vehicle near San Diego State, sending him tumbling onto the roadway, according to the county Medical Examiner’s Office. Though he was wearing a helmet, Priest died at the scene of the accident, the agency reported. Police are still looking for witnesses, however, as the collision remains under inquiry.
