Los Angeles, CA (March 1, 2025) – California Highway Patrol (CHP) investigators continued on Friday, February 28, their investigation into a Huntington Beach police cruiser earlier this week colliding with a man on an electric scooter.
The man, who fell to the ground and was then struck by a second vehicle, was seriously hurt in the incident and taken to the hospital shortly after the crash took place. The CHP declined to offer many details about the Wednesday night collisions at Beach Boulevard and Heil Avenue on the Huntington Beach-Westminster border, but investigators say that the driver remained on the scene to cooperate with their investigation. The inquiry by the LAPD’s Traffic Division remains ongoing at this time. We wish for the swify and complete recovery of the wounded individual.
