Escondido, CA (June 15, 2024) – Thirteen adults with special needs suffered minor injuries when a transport van they were traveling in as passengers slammed into the side of a business complex in Escondido on Thursday afternoon.
The crash occurred at Second Avenue and Juniper Street around 2:20 p.m. An aerial view of the scene showed a gaping hole left in the side of the building after first responders towed the van away. The Escondido Fire Department confirmed `3 people were taken to the hospital with injuries, though their current conditions were unknown. Details about the events that led up to the crash were not immediately available, but an investigation is ongoing.
