Los Angeles, CA (January 1, 2024) – A vehicle traveling north on Western Avenue hit a pedestrian in the Lomita area shortly before 11:00 p.m. on Sunday, resulting in the victim’s death, according to local authorities.
Paramedics from the Los Angeles Fire Department declared the victim dead at the scene; they identified him as an adult male but did not provide further details about his identity. The man was allegedly crossing the roadway around 247th Place when the incident occurred. Investigators are asking anybody who may have knowledge about the crash or the hit-and-run driver to come forward, but officers with the Los Angeles Police Department are handling the ongoing inquiry in the interim.
