Buena Park, CA (December 2, 2023) – One fatality and five injuries were reported on Wednesday, including that of an innocent bystander, after a crash in Buena Park. Just before 11:45 a.m., Orange County Firefighters were dispatched to the intersection of La Palma Avenue and Knott Avenue in response to a two-vehicle collision. Two individuals were discovered trapped in a rolled-over vehicle when firefighters arrived. Two additional individuals were trapped in a separate car, a white Mercedes Benz, at the time of the collision; they were both able to extricate themselves, however. A bicyclist was also hurt in the wreck.
The two patients who were trapped in the rollover were extricated by OCFA firefighters; one of them was pronounced dead at the scene. The second person was transported to a trauma facility, while the bicyclist and two others from the white Mercedes were also transferred to local trauma centers. No further details were released, but an investigation remains active.
