Los Angeles, CA (November 18, 2023) – A major collision occurred in South Los Angeles on Friday morning and involved a speeding tow truck and 13 other vehicles.
The Los Angeles Police Department said that the accident occurred at around 2:45 a.m. when a speeding tow truck lost control and careened into the junction of Griffith Avenue and Washington Boulevard. According to the authorities, the tow truck collided with two drivers at the crossroads before smashing into several parked vehicles on the street. As rescue workers removed debris from the accident scene, Griffith remained blocked for around five hours. Authorities apprehended the motorist on suspicion of DUI, and at least two people were hospitalized in the incident.
