Los Angeles, CA (October 28, 2023) – On Saturday, at about 4:20 p.m., a man riding a bicycle was hit and killed by a car in front of the Metro A Line station in West Long Beach.
According to Long Beach Police Department spokesman Richard Mejia, the collision happened at 3:20 p.m. on Saturday near Pacific Avenue and Wardlow Road. The police found the rider lying on the road with critical injuries, Mejia added. Firefighters from Long Beach arrived and took the cyclist to a nearby hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
Mejia said the woman who was driving the car involved stayed at the site and helped investigators.
Investigators are still reviewing the cause of the wreck at this time.
