San Diego, CA (October 28, 2023) – On Friday evening, officials confirmed that a pedestrian was killed after being hit by a car in the Midways District.
The San Diego Police Department reports that, around 8:15 p.m., a man was traveling west on Interstate 8 and exited at 3600 Camino Del Rio West when he struck a pedestrian.
According to SDPD, the pedestrian was pronounced dead from his or her injuries at the site. The driver and two passengers walked away unhurt.
The police have determined that alcohol impairment did not play a role in this crash, though officers are still investigating.
