Long Beach, CA (October 28, 2023) – On Saturday evening, a car collided with three pedestrians near the Port of Long Beach, leaving all three with life-threatening injuries.
According to Long Beach police Lt. John Hotchkiss, the collision happened just after 6:00 p.m. on Saturday in the 100 block of Pico Avenue, close to the Seaside (710) Freeway. Hotchkiss said a woman, a man, and a 16-year-old child were all hit by the car and sent to the hospital, where they were all listed in critical but stable condition.
The driver stayed at the scene, was arrested, and taken to the hospital for treatment. His identity was not disclosed.
