Long Beach, CA (November 26, 2023) – A collision in Long Beach on Saturday left a motorist seriously injured when a suspect driving a stolen car crashed into their pickup truck. According to officials, the incident occurred at about 5:00 p.m. on Friday at the intersection of Long Beach and Artesia Boulevards, close to the Compton-Long Beach line. The stolen silver Dodger Charger’s driver allegedly did not stop for deputies, who pursued him for almost two minutes before the collision.
The truck driver was rushed to a hospital and was subsequently sent to the critical care unit. The woman riding as a passenger in the stolen Charger and the driver were transported to a nearby hospital by paramedics from the Los Angeles Fire Department. Both victims are said to be in stable condition. Per authorities, the suspect in the stolen automobile was apprehended by sheriff’s officers at the hospital, though an investigation is still ongoing.
