San Diego, CA (March 8, 2025) – A 54-year-old woman was killed during a hit-and-run collision in National City on Saturday morning, March 8, authorities said.
According to the National City Police Department, the incident occurred around 2:10 a.m. in the 1600 block of East Plaza Boulevard. Authorities received a call about a person lying in the street. Upon arrival, police found the woman unresponsive in the center divider of the roadway. Emergency responders, including National City firefighters and AMR paramedics, quickly arrived at the scene and began performing CPR.
Despite their efforts to revive her, the woman was pronounced dead at the scene. No further information was immediately available; the driver fled the scene, per officers.
