Lakeside, CA (March 15, 2024) – A house fire on Friday resulted in the fatality of a woman and the transport of an injured person to a hospital, as reported by the Lakeside Fire Protection District.
The blaze apparently broke out at 1:00 a.m. on Friday at a residence in the 1700 block of North 1st Street. Three of the four occupants of the residence at the time of the fire managed to escape with minor injuries, but firefighters discovered an elderly woman deceased inside. One person was also taken to a local hospital. No further details have been provided, but an investigation is still ongoing.
