Fullerton, CA (February 14, 2024) – Fullerton officers were investigating the cause of a collision that killed a pedestrian Tuesday night.
The man killed in the collision was struck just after 6:00 p.m. at South Basque Avenue and West Orangethorpe Avenue, police said. The victim was crossing Orangethorpe when he was struck by a Nissan Kick driven by a 53-year-old woman from Buena Park, who remained on the scene and cooperated, according to the Fullerton Police Department. Investigators do not think drugs or alcohol contributed to the cause of the collision, though witnesses who saw the wreck were asked to come forward.
