Van Nuys, CA (September 3, 2025) – A suspected drunk driver caused a deadly crash early Wednesday, September 3rd, at Burbank Boulevard and Van Nuys Boulevard. Police reported the collision happened around 1:45 a.m. when a Honda ran a red light and struck a Mercedes.
A 22-year-old woman riding in the Mercedes died at the scene. Three passengers in the Honda suffered injuries and were taken to the hospital.
The Honda driver was arrested on suspicion of DUI. During the investigation, another driver went through the police tape and was also arrested for DUI. Authorities continue to investigate.
