Ventura County, CA (June 2, 2026) – Two drivers were hospitalized with major injuries after a head-on collision on SR-232, also known as Vineyard Avenue, just east of Perello Ranch Road on Monday morning, June 1.
The California Highway Patrol said a 32-year-old driving a gray Tesla sedan westbound crossed into oncoming traffic and struck a white Toyota SUV. The Toyota was pushed into the eastbound lanes while the Tesla came to rest in the westbound lane. Responders extricated both drivers before they were taken to a hospital with major injuries.
The cause of the crash had not been determined at the time of publication. The investigation is continuing.
