San Diego, CA (October 11, 2024) – A woman was critically injured on Tuesday after crashing her motorcycle in the Midway neighborhood, authorities said.
According to the San Diego Police Department, the rider was traveling eastbound in the 3100 block of Midway Drive around 8:30 p.m. when she was involved in an apparent chain-reaction crash with a Dodge Grand Caravan and at least one other vehicle.
The rider suffered a collapsed lung, fractured collarbone, multiple rib fractures, as well as a lacerated liver and spleen. Her injuries are considered to be life-threatening. SDPD’s Traffic Division responded to the scene and will be handling the investigation. Police said DUI was not a factor in this crash. However, witnesses were asked to get in touch with area authorities if they had additional information in the interim.
