San Diego, CA (September 4, 2024) – Authorities say that a truck accident resulted in at least two injured victims on Wednesday afternoon, September 4.
The incident occurred at around 3:20 p.m. Wednesday after the driver of a Subaru side-swept a big rig on the southbound 805 Freeway in San Diego, according to the California Highway Patrol. After seemingly gaining control of the vehicle, the driver traveled along Highway 163 southbound on-ramp before crashing into a Ford SUV and then rolling over at the Genesee Avenue exit.
Two people were taken to a nearby hospital, but the extent of their injuries is unclear. It is unclear what caused the driver to crash. That said, DUI is not a suspected factor in the incident, CHP confirmed. Anyone with information on the case is asked to contact CHP San Diego.
