San Diego, CA (December 18, 2024) – A pedestrian is dead after being struck by a train in Oceanside Sunday afternoon, authorities confirmed.
The San Diego County Sheriff’s Office stated that a pedestrian was hit and killed by a train on the railroad tracks near Mission Avenue and North Cleveland Street in Oceanside. First responders arrived at the scene at around 12:35 p.m. on Sunday and pronounced the pedestrian dead. Traffic in the area was impacted for a short time. The ongoing investigation lasted for hours, but no other details were released in the interim. An investigation is still ongoing.
