Lake Tahoe, CA (June 21, 2025) – Six people died, two were injured, and two others are still missing after a boat crashed and overturned on Lake Tahoe on Saturday, June 21, according to the U.S. Coast Guard’s Northern California Division.
Authorities said it happened near D.L. Bliss State Park. The two people who were injured were taken to a hospital in the area, the Coast Guard said. According to the Coast Guard, its response crew in Lake Tahoe was diverted to help California State Parks and the El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office respond to a report of 10 people in the water around 3:00 p.m. However, the investigation into the incident is still ongoing, and no further details have been released.
