San Diego, CA (January 15, 2025) – A collision involving a semi-truck caused traffic delays and an unknown number of injuries along southbound Interstate 805 near the connector with State Route 15 Wednesday afternoon, according to California Highway Patrol.
Preliminary reports indicated a car, a Ford Mustang or Chevrolet Camaro, became trapped under the semi-truck trailer. The first call reporting the incident came in around 12:40 p.m., according to CHP.
A SigAlert showed the incident caused a backup for vehicles on southbound I-805 at SR-15 up to El Cajon Boulevard. The two right lanes were blocked due to the collision, Caltrans confirmed. EMTs transported an unknown number of victims to the hospital, though their current conditions are unknown. However, the Traffic Division is still investigating the incident.
