San Diego, CA (June 30, 2024) – A BMW collided with a Honda that was stopped on a residential road in San Diego on Sunday, June 30, causing several injuries and damage to parked vehicles, police said.
The accident occurred around 1:30 a.m. that day, at 2400 J Street near the intersection of 24th Street in the neighborhood of Sherman Heights, according to the San Diego Police Department. A 1998 Honda collided with a 2015 BMW driven by an 18-year-old man traveling eastbound, the police department reported.
Due to the collision, these two vehicles then struck two more cars that were parked on the roadside. Five passengers were taken to a hospital, and one driver sustained an open fracture to his lower left leg, police said. No further details have been provided in the interim. However, an investigation is still ongoing.
