San Diego, CA (July 1, 2024) – Three people were seriously injured on Sunday, June 30, in a suspected driving under the influence collision on the Interstate 5 highway along Mission Bay Drive, according to San Diego police. At least one person was hospitalized in a life-threatening condition.
The crash occurred just after 6:30 p.m. in the area of the northbound I-5 off-ramp to Mission Bay Drive when a 2022 Chevrolet Malibu collided with a 2014 Toyota Prius. All three individuals inside the vehicles were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment of various injuries. However, an inquiry is still underway, and anyone who witnessed or has information about the crash is asked to contact the California Highway Patrol, San Diego branch.
