San Diego, CA (September 28, 2023) – Authorities in Vista reported that one person was killed in a head-on collision on Thursday, September 28.
San Diego County Sheriff’s Department (SDSO) Sergeant Eric Cottrell stated in a press statement that the crash happened at roughly 7:00 a.m. in the 400 block of North Melrose Drive.
A Chevy was heading north when the driver lost control and crashed with a Toyota headed south. Both drivers were injured, but one of the motorists was pronounced dead at the scene.
It is unclear whether impaired driving had a role in the incident. Witnesses should contact the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department if they have any information concerning the crash.
