San Diego, CA (March 19, 2024) – At least one person was killed Monday night in a freeway crash that briefly closed down all lanes of State Route 94 in southeastern San Diego.
According to a California Highway Patrol incident log, the crash was reported at about 7:10 p.m. in the westbound lanes of the freeway near the Euclid Avenue exit. At least one caller reported that a pedestrian was struck on the freeway. Per the CHP, at least one person died, and officers at the scene requested the county Medical Examiner’s Office to respond. It was unclear Monday night if anyone else was injured, but an investigation is ongoing.
