San Diego, CA (October 21, 2025) – A heartbreaking crash near Jackson Drive and Lake Murray Boulevard left one child dead and two others seriously injured on Tuesday, October 21. The accident occurred around 7:20 a.m. as three 12-year-old students walked to Pershing Middle School.
According to the San Diego Police, a driver struck the children while traveling through the intersection. One child tragically died at the scene, and rescuers took the other two to a nearby hospital with serious injuries. The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities.
Investigators continue to examine the scene and collect witness statements to determine exactly how the tragedy occurred.
