San Diego, CA – 5-Year-Old Girl Injured in Hit-and-Run by Suspected Drunk Driver

San Diego, CA (September 9, 2025) – A 5-year-old girl is in critical condition after being struck by a suspected drunk driver near Liberty Station on Saturday, September 7.

The incident occurred just after 4:30 p.m. near 2500 Laning Road, where 21-year-old Savannah Monique Taylor of San Diego crashed her 2018 BMW 335i through a park. The driver of the BMW was arrested at the scene. Police confirmed that alcohol played a role in the crash.

Witnesses described hearing the car rev before it veered off the road, hitting a steel bench and damaging property. Tire marks showed the path of the car as it swerved through the park, causing chaos and leaving the young girl critically injured.
