Reseda, CA (November 8, 2024) – According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), a 19-year-old man who was killed in a two-vehicle crash in the Reseda area was identified Friday.
The crash occurred about 8:30 a.m. Thursday in the 19600 block of West Sherman Way, trapping two people in the wreckage, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department. Fernando Zambrano died at the scene from multiple injuries, per the county Medical Examiner’s Office and the fire department.
An LAFD statement said a person who attempted to help extricate the victims before firefighters arrived was taken to the hospital with a non-life-threatening injury. The identities of the person who tried to help the victims and the surviving victim were not immediately available. An investigation is still ongoing, and anyone with information for police can contact CHP in the meantime.
