Mira Mesa, CA (June 16, 2026) – A 32-year-old man died Sunday night, June 14, after his Ford Escape struck a wall and caught fire after a collision on I-15 Southbound north of Carroll Canyon Road.
The crash, reported just after 10:25 p.m., involved four vehicles: an Audi RS 7, the Ford Escape, a Kawasaki motorcycle, and a Honda Civic.
The Audi collided with the Ford, sending it into the right shoulder wall where it became engulfed in flames. The Ford’s driver was pronounced dead at the scene. A 20-year-old motorcyclist was hurt and taken to a hospital with minor injuries.
The investigation remains ongoing.
