Oceanside, CA (July 13, 2024) – One person was killed, and another was injured after a vehicle crash on eastbound State Route 78 in Oceanside on Saturday, July 13, authorities said.
According to a SigAlert from the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred shortly before 9:50 a.m. after the College Boulevard exit. Local news footage showed the vehicle seemingly in pieces in the parking lot of an Ampl convenience store at 3804 Plaza Drive. The California Highway Patrol office in Oceanside urged anyone with knowledge of the incident to contact them. However, no further details were released in the meantime.
