Moreno Valley, CA (June 6, 2024) – Authorities stated that the 60 Freeway’s westbound lanes were closed as a result of a fatal pedestrian accident in Moreno Valley that took place early on Thursday morning, June 6.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred on the freeway near Perris Boulevard shortly after 3:00 a.m. Upon their arrival at the scene, the victim was discovered in the roadway and was declared deceased. The victim’s identity has not yet been disclosed. The CHP issued a SigAlert, which resulted in the closure of all lanes of the westbound interstate for several hours while officers investigated the cause of the collision. Detectives are requesting that anybody with further information on the accident contact them in the meantime.
