San Diego, CA – Skateboarder Critically Injured in Euclid Ave Hit-and-Run

San Diego, CA (June 7, 2024) – A skateboarder is fighting for his life after a suspected DUI driver hit him in an accident that took place on Thursday night, authorities said.

The incident occurred in the Fox Canyon area around 11:50 p.m. when a man of unknown age was riding a skateboard southbound in the 3600 block of Euclid Avenue, according to the San Diego Police Department. Shortly thereafter, a 20-year-old woman was allegedly driving a 2009 Honda Accord while speeding southbound on the same block as the skateboarder before striking him and fleeing the site. She was eventually apprehended and taken into custody, though the accident is under investigation. Witnesses were asked to contact officers right away.
