Los Angeles, CA (March 1, 2024) – A hit-and-run collision claimed the life of a 60-year-old woman in the Leimert Park area on Thursday evening, February 29. On Friday, police began their investigation into the incident.
The time of the collision report was 10:30 p.m., and a spokesman for the Los Angeles Police Department said that officers responded to Crenshaw Boulevard and Homeland Drive on Thursday and discovered the victim in the street. Witnesses told police that a vehicle traveling southbound on Crenshaw hit the pedestrian without stopping to assist. The victim was pronounced deceased at the site, though no further details were released. The South Traffic Division of the Los Angeles Police Department is investigating the hit-and-run in the interim.
