Los Angeles, CA (October 20, 2023) – According to the CHP Traffic Incident Information Page, an accident involving two large trucks blocked westbound Highway 58 at South Chester Avenue, causing traffic to back up in the region on Friday, October 20.
Traffic was backed up to Union Avenue when a semi-truck caught fire in the left lane of westbound Highway 58. Oil leaked onto the road as a result of the collision, and police were directing cars away from the location via Chester Avenue.
EMTs assessed injured victims at the scene, though the total number of people involved remains unknown. An investigation is still ongoing in the meantime.
