Los Angeles, CA (November 23, 2024) – One person was killed, and three others suffered minor injuries Saturday in a four-vehicle crash seconds after police initiated a pursuit in the Winnetka area of Los Angeles.
The crash occurred at about 1:30 p.m. at 20500 West Saticoy Street, at Saticoy and Mason Avenue, Los Angeles Fire Department spokeswoman Margaret Stewart said. Officers had begun to pursue a possible stolen vehicle near the location of the crash, according to Los Angeles Police Department Officer Tony Im.
One person was pronounced dead at the scene, Stewart said, though the ages and genders of the dead and injured were not immediately available. No further information was immediately available, but an investigation is still ongoing at this time.
