Los Angeles, CA (February 24, 2024) – At approximately 7:00 p.m. on Friday, the Los Angeles County Fire Department was notified of an explosion in the vicinity of Val Verde.
It was determined upon arrival that the cause of the incident was a mechanical failure of a small high-pressure conduit. An on-site employee sustained injuries and was transported to a nearby medical facility prior to the arrival of the fire department. Health HazMat and Los Angeles County Fire HazMat were present at the location and supervised the remediation efforts. While no additional information was disclosed, an investigation remains ongoing.
