Los Angeles, CA (February 10, 2025) – At least one person died early Saturday morning after two people were hit by a vehicle on the 101 Freeway outside of Universal Studios Hollywood, according to authorities.
The crash was reported at about 2:35 a.m. just south of the Lankershim Boulevard exit on the northbound span of the freeway. According to the California Highway Patrol, two pedestrians were in the lanes when a driver behind the wheel of a black Jeep Wrangler hit them.
Authorities pronounced one of the pedestrians dead at the scene. The other was transported to a local hospital to be treated for major injuries. The CHP didn’t say whether the injuries were life-threatening. That said, an inquiry into the cause of the collision is still ongoing, and witnesses were asked to step forward.
