Long Beach, CA (September 17, 2025) – A bicyclist was injured Sunday afternoon, September 14, in a crash with a vehicle at Pacific Coast Highway and Golden Avenue near the Los Angeles River.
Police said the accident happened around 12:45 p.m. A man rode his bicycle westbound in the far-right bicycle lane on Pacific Coast Highway when he tried turning south onto Golden Avenue. As he moved into the lane, a westbound vehicle in the No. 2 lane struck him from behind.
The bicyclist suffered upper and lower body injuries and was taken to a hospital. The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. The Long Beach Police Department continues to review the incident.
