Anaheim, CA (February 17, 2025) – A 29-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of driving drunk following a car crash in Anaheim that left another woman dead.
The collision happened around 10:00 p.m. on Sunday night, February 16, at Magnolia Avenue and Broadway, according to the Anaheim Police Department. Authorities say the victim was driving southbound in a red Honda when the DUI suspect, Samantha Farris of Buena Park, was traveling northbound in a white sedan and turned left in front of her. They collided in the intersection.
The victim, 56-year-old Suzanne Fierro from Long Beach, was still trapped in her car when paramedics arrived at the scene. She was extricated and taken to the hospital, but she did not survive her injuries. Farris was arrested and charged with felony DUI and vehicular manslaughter. Her blood alcohol test is still pending. However, no further details were reported, and the inquiry is still ongoing. We offer our heartfelt condolences to the family of the deceased victim.
