Pinon Hills, CA – Three Killed, Two Seriously Hurt in Head-On Crash on Hwy 18 Near Minero Rd

Pinon Hills, CA (May 11, 2026) – A head-on collision on Highway 18/Palmdale Road near Minero Road in Pinon Hills killed three people and seriously injured two others Saturday evening, May 9. Emergency crews responded to the crash at approximately 7:50 p.m.

A silver Honda Odyssey traveling eastbound and a black Jeep Wrangler traveling westbound collided on Highway 18. The Honda carried five occupants; the Jeep carried one.

All three fatalities were occupants of the Honda. Two Honda passengers suffered serious injuries and crews airlifted them to Loma Linda University Medical Center. The Jeep’s driver sustained minor injuries and crews transported them by ground ambulance.

Authorities continue to investigate the cause of the crash.
